About Us

Designer Sara Colacicco founded her label in 2011 together with her partner Pier Bosma. Sara’s unique creations embody first and foremost the principles of British heritage fashion combined with slow fashion. Her signature garments in Harris Tweed finished with exclusively designed silk lining are inspired by both the countryside and by metropolitan, avant-garde and historical influences, bringing a quintessentially British style to life. Her finely handmade hats and headpieces range from opulent, dramatic one of a kind creations to more subtly elegant, ready to wear pieces.

Sara’s unique creations are all developed around the principle of uncompromising quality where the production process reflects the tradition of supreme craftsmanship in the UK. Sara works together with her small team of highly skilled seamstresses and milliners who help bring her designs to life, guided by the ethic of sustainability and with respect to the overall principle of slow fashion. Sara has been working in design, art and fashion all of her adult life and owes part of her inspiration to growing up in a family of fine art antique dealers in the renowned Portobello Road, London. Sara’s unique style is also inspired by her exposure since the early years both to the eccentric, bohemian life style characteristic of this area of London as well as to the magical nature of the New Forest where she lived with her parents.

Throughout the years, the Sara Tiara shop in Portobello Road has attracted customers and visitors from a wide variety of backgrounds, from notable personalities and artists to locals and tourists. Sara is always open to collaborations with other creators while customers are always given the opportunity to be part of the creative process through uniquely made bespoke creations. Sara and Pier recently set up their atelier in the New Forest, Hampshire where their inspiration is further influenced by the enchanting wildlife and nature of this beautiful National Park.
